Addiction and the rumble strip

From a club kid to a professor, Kenny Tomasits has come a long way. Let him tell you a story of addiction, meditation, and adaptation.

Kenny along with Emma Kolar, Ashley Hall, Danielle Stern and Kris Roley came out to tell stories inspired by the word “Adaptation.” We thought the theme could inspire stories of flexibility and change, but we’re always open to seeing what people come up with on their own.

Bio: Kenny currently is an adjunct English professor and creative writing instructor at several universities and institutions in the Hampton Roads and a published author. He’s just hitting his stride and aging like good stinky cheese and fine wine. In his heart of hearts he knows the best is yet to come.

About Tell Me More… Live Storytelling: Everyone has a story, and there are plenty of storytelling events and podcasts around the world to showcase them. We’re not that different – except we tell stories from a small stage in a mid-size military town. We host a regular storytelling night at the Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk, Va. We showcase storytellers sharing stories inspired by one-word themes. For upcoming shows, please see our schedule here. If you have a story that you think fits one of our themes, sign up here to be considered for the stage.
