Evan Grummell, a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Norfolk, tells his story about his struggles and success working with a child through the program. CASA is a national association in the United States that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment in permanent homes.
Evan on Evan: “My family has lived in Newport News for over 20 years and I love it here. I graduated with my criminal Justice degree and a private investigator license but I don’t do anything with it professionally and instead work at a credit union. I have become an audiobook snob and live at home with my dog and cats with plans to turn my backyard into a microfarm with goats and chickens. :)”
