Evan Lambert’s gay escape plan

Evan Lambert

Evan Lambert shares his story during the February 2015 Tell Me More… Storytelling Night. (David Adam Beloff | David Adam Beloff Photography)

Evan Lambert shares how his research on LGBT rights led him to a moving interview and a lovingly gay escape plan.

Evan has a Bachelors in Anthropology from Dartmouth and a Masters in Journalism from Columbia, but he doesn’t like to brag about it. In fact, he doesn’t even act like it. One time he microwaved aluminum foil by accident. That was two days ago.

Now he works as a freelance writer and helps run the Twitter and Instagram accounts for the Push Comedy Theater. He also regularly performs along with members of his comedy troupe Sons of Harold in popular Push shows like Improvageddon and the Too Far Show.

About Tell Me More… Live Storytelling: Everyone has a story, and there are plenty of storytelling events and podcasts around the world to showcase them. We’re not that different – except we tell stories from a small stage in a mid-size military town. We host a regular storytelling night at the Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk, Va. We showcase storytellers sharing stories inspired by one-word themes. For upcoming shows, please see our schedule here. If you have a story that you think fits one of our themes, sign up here to be considered for the stage.
