Scot Rose walks into a bar, twice

Scot Rose experiences a temporary lack of spatial awareness that leads to some self-discovery.

In March, Scot Rose along with Angel Sanchez, Erin Lindstrom, Jessa Gaul and Tina Finnerty came out to tell stories inspired by the word “disappointments.” We thought the theme could inspire stories about succeeding at failing hard, but we were open to wherever it would take them.

Scot, in his own words: “Scot is a 31 1/2-year-old unmarried gay man (his life is pretty much over) whose hero is his passive aggressive and emotionally stabby mother. He would prefer nothing other than eating pancakes or smothering anything in peanut butter in bed all day but works because he has to. Thanks Obama.”

Listen! Scot’s story…

About Tell Me More… Live Storytelling: Everyone has a story, and there are plenty of storytelling events and podcasts around the world to showcase them. We’re not that different – except we tell stories from a small stage in a mid-size military town. We host a regular storytelling night at the Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk, Va. We showcase storytellers sharing stories inspired by one-word themes. For upcoming shows, please see our schedule here. If you have a story that you think fits one of our themes, sign up here to be considered for the stage.
